1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that material on Automobile Hunt infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement to our designated Copyright Agent. The notice must include the following information, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are involved, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail (e.g., URL or specific location on the site) to allow us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Our Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receiving a valid DMCA Notice, Automobile Hunt will:
- Promptly investigate the claim and remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, if appropriate, pending resolution.
- Notify the user who posted the material (if identifiable) of the complaint and provide them an opportunity to respond, as described below.
- Take reasonable steps to notify the copyright owner or their agent of our actions.
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted on Automobile Hunt was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent. The counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location on the site before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days, unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.
4. Repeat Infringers
Automobile Hunt reserves the right to terminate access to our site for users who are repeat infringers of copyrighted material, in accordance with the DMCA and our discretion.
5. Good-Faith Commitment
We handle all DMCA notices and counter-notifications in good faith and in compliance with applicable laws. However, Automobile Hunt is not responsible for resolving disputes between copyright owners and users. We encourage parties to seek legal advice for complex copyright issues.
