The Kia Carens Clavis EV is anticipated to start at Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom) and has a stated range of 490 kilometers.
On July 15, 2025, the Kia Carens Clavis EV is scheduled to make its debut in the Indian market. In a teaser video posted on its various social media accounts, the South Korean carmaker revealed the official range data of the 7-seater MPV ahead of the actual introduction. With a single full charge, the Carens Clavis EV will have a 490 km driving range. The company’s first mass-market EV in India, the BYD eMax 7, which costs between Rs 26.90 and Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom), will be its main rival.

The Kia Carens Clavis Electric will resemble its ICE sibling in terms of appearance, with a few small EV-specific changes including redesigned alloy wheels, a front charging outlet, and restyled front and rear bumpers. In order to handle the extra weight of the batteries and electric motors, the suspension system is probably going to be different from the ICE version.
Kia’s interior design is still recognizable, however there are some adjustments. The center console’s gear lever has been removed to maximize storage space, and a new color scheme for the upholstery will be available. The ICE version’s two 12.3-inch screens—one for the instrument cluster and the other for infotainment—are retained, guaranteeing a technologically advanced atmosphere.
Front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a driver seat with four electrical adjustment settings, an air purifier, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are a few of its noteworthy features. High-end safety features including six airbags, all four disc brakes, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, traction control, ABS with EBD, and hill assist control will also be included.

Level 2 ADAS is probably going to be available on higher trim levels of the Carens Clavis EV. The Hyundai Creta Electric’s 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery packs will be borrowed by the Carens Clavis EV. An electric motor installed on the front axle will power these. Figures for power and torque can resemble those of the Creta EV. However, because the MPV is longer than the all-electric Creta, performance might be slightly worse.
With its emphasis on long-distance driving, family demands, and Kia’s renowned feature-rich cars, the Carens Clavis EV will introduce a new choice to India’s emerging electric MPV market. On July 15, the price and complete details will be revealed.
